Mundo Sano is a family foundation which strives to transform the lives of people affected by neglected diseases, which impact the most vulnerable members of society and have very severe health consequences. The foundation's activities focus primarily on Chagas disease, dengue, leishmaniasis, soil-transmitted helminth infections, echinococcosis and a range of social initiatives.
Mundo Sano was founded in 1993 by Dr Roberto Gold and taken on as a family legacy with one unwavering mission: to give something back to society. Since the outset, we have sought to generate cooperation between the private and public sectors, with a view to contributing to public health. We have five head offices located in Latin America and have rolled out programmes in Africa from our Spanish offices.
